Incident marked, evidence ready
When a vehicle leaves without payment, staff mark the incident in seconds. The pack is already built: plate photograph, overview photograph, entry and exit timestamps, all logged with a written record.
Forecourt ANPR
Fuel drive-offs, no-means-to-pay incidents and overstays past your maximum stay, flagged the moment they happen with the evidence pack already built.
Plate reads don't depend on daylight. The cameras and the rules are identical at 3pm and 3am.

By the time staff reach the window, the car is on the road. Grainy CCTV that can't resolve a plate leaves nothing to recover with, and the loss quietly becomes a cost of doing business. Meanwhile cars parked up for hours treat the forecourt as free parking, blocking pumps and bays for paying customers.
A full tank, and the driver walks past the kiosk. Staff are serving a queue and see nothing until it's done.
Someone scribbles down a partial plate from memory. The CCTV shows a dark car and a smear where the plate should be.
No usable plate, no timestamps, no evidence. The fuel is written off, and the same car can come back next week.
Every unrecorded drive-off is fuel given away.
On the forecourt
Dedicated ANPR cameras read every vehicle at entry and exit. When something goes wrong, the record already exists.

Vehicles your site has flagged before are spotted the moment they return, before they reach a pump. Your list, your data, per site.
Doubtful reads are checked by a person before anything is acted on. No exceptions.
Set a 15 minute limit, or whatever suits the site, with a grace period you control. Overstays are flagged with entry and exit times and the charge goes out backed by a ready-made evidence pack, the same as any car park. Jet wash bays and shop parking stay for customers.
Evidence deletes itself on a per-site retention clock. The audit record lawfully remains.
No-means-to-pay incidents move straight into recovery: DVLA enquiries, letters and payment collection handled for you as part of the service. Deliberate fuel theft is a police matter, and the pack gives the police a complete, timestamped record.
The vehicle's plate was read when it arrived, so the moment your staff mark the incident the evidence pack already exists: plate photograph, overview photograph and entry and exit timestamps. Genuine no-means-to-pay cases move straight into our payment recovery process. Deliberate drive-offs are a criminal matter, and the same pack gives the police a complete, timestamped record.
Yes. Entry and exit times are recorded for every vehicle, so a maximum stay of 15 minutes, or any limit you choose, is enforced automatically with a grace period you control. An overstay becomes a contravention with the times spelled out, and the charge is issued and managed for you. Genuine customers refuelling and paying are never affected.
Yes. Vehicles your site has flagged before are matched against your own incident list, so staff see an alert the moment a known vehicle arrives on the forecourt, before it reaches a pump. The list is yours, held per site, and covers only incidents recorded at your own business.
We do, as part of the service. No-means-to-pay incidents move into payment recovery using the evidence pack the system produces, with DVLA keeper enquiries made under the rules that govern them. If you would rather use your existing provider, the pack feeds straight into it instead. Deliberate fuel theft is reported to the police.
No. Vertex supplies and fits dedicated ANPR cameras positioned to read plates reliably at entry and exit. Your existing CCTV stays in place for general site security. The two do different jobs.
We survey the site, fit the cameras, and you measure incidents recorded against what was being written off before.
